Dan Pearce has joined Ticketmaster as senior vice-president, client development to lead the team’s growth and marketplace leadership.
Pearce returns to Ticketmaster after a four-year hiatus leading the Virgin Experience Days Consumer division. Prior to that, Pearce was the managing director of Ticketmaster Resale where he led the successful launch of its Fan-to-Fan Ticket Exchange, before moving to lead Ticketmaster’s international marketing division.
Pearce also brings with him a UK theatre pedigree as the previous managing director of West End Theatre Bookings.
“Dan’s knowledge of Ticketmaster and this industry is unrivalled, bringing with him the rare ability to wholly hit the ground running,” said Andrew Parsons, managing director of Ticketmaster UK. “I am confident Dan will quickly deliver results for our clients, drive value for our partners and lead this exemplary team’s continued success.”
The appointment news comes off the back of Alex Berti stepping up into the vice-president, client development role with a focus on the ever-increasing attractions and immersive sectors, and Rebecca Lott taking on the senior director – strategic accounts role to support clients in achieving their goals.
The company said: “Together with Pearce, this expanding client development team will remain focused on delivering the best experience for clients and their fans in the UK.”
Nederlander Concerts has announced the promotion of Jamie Loeb to senior vice-president.
Loeb, who joined the business in 2008 as vice-president of marketing, will continue to report directly to the chief executive officer, Alex Hodges.
Loeb is responsible for the online development, marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns for Nederlander’s venues and its bookings at third-party facilities. With local, regional and national experience, Loeb has created innovative strategies and tour marketing campaigns, which integrate traditional and digital technologies resulting in a deeper connection between artists, their fans and ticket sales.
“From her first day at Nederlander Concerts, Jamie has been an incredibly strong leader,” said Hodges. “She has helped Nederlander Concerts maintain its position as one of the most important independent promoters in North America. She was instrumental in getting us through the height of the pandemic and a successful rebound last year with our return to a full schedule of performances.”
Oak View Group and Acrisure Arena in Greater Palm Springs has announced the promotion of Drew Gershenson to vice president of content, Acrisure Arena and OVG Southwest Division.
Gershenson joined OVG in December 2021 and previously served as director of booking for Acrisure Arena. He will report to John Page, senior vice president of Acrisure Arena, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, and OVG360 Facilities.
“We’re pleased to support Drew’s continued growth within Oak View Group,” said Page. “Since joining the team in 2021, Drew has proven himself to be a strategic team leader and we are confident he will bring the same passion and drive to his new role as we continue to expand our reach throughout the southwest.”
Alex Lane has been appointed festival manager of Superstruct Entertainment’s Truck Festival.
Lane, formerly procurement and operations manager at Green Man Festival, will work on the UK festival that attracts 30,000 attendees annually. Truck Festival, which takes place in July in Oxfordshire, will this year be led by Royal Blood and Alt-J.
The New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) has announced that Harold Steward will join the organisation as the next executive director.
Steward is currently the executive director and cultural strategist at The Theatre Offensive (TTO), a Boston-based nonprofit organisation. Previously, Steward, who was manager of the South Dallas Cultural Center, which provides instruction and enrichment in the arts with an emphasis on the African contribution to world culture, will officially join NEFA in July.
Conductor and violinist Andrés Orozco-Estrada has been appointed to the position of music director of the City of Cologne and Gürzenich Kapellmeister.
In his new role, Colombian national Orozco-Estrada will be responsible for the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne and the Cologne Opera.
