This platform will also provide a safe place for fans to resell tickets if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Paris 2024 organising committee president Tony Estanguet told the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/winter-olympics-sports-europe-paris-london-0632e0651507b7ab29810b7ac3e75f13?utm_source=Twitter&amp;utm_campaign=SocialFlow&amp;utm_medium=AP_Sports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a> that the new system should \u201climit frustration\u201d for those trying to purchase tickets.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionally, the host nation sold tickets to its residents and agencies handled ticket sales for the rest of the world. Now, a two-month registration will let potential buyers sign up for a lottery that gives winners a time slot for February 2023 to choose the tickets for multiple sports on the single platform.<\/p>\n<p>Single tickets for events will go on sale in May 2023 followed by a third sales period towards the end of next year.<\/p>\n<p>Estanguet told the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/sport\/20220322-organisers-of-paris-2024-olympics-hope-to-sell-13-4-million-tickets\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reuters<\/a> news agency: \u201cIt\u2019s ambitious. We believe that the Paris 2024 Games will be unique. The ticketing programme represents one-third of our revenue.
