Joe Giordano<\/b> has been hired by advisory, development and investment company for the sports and live entertainment industries Oak View Group (OVG), as vice president of Arena and Stadium Alliance.<\/p>\n
The alliance is a collection of 38 venues in North America that provides a platform for booking, content development, procurement and sponsorship sales opportunities.<\/p>\n
Giordano has held the position of assistant general manager at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for ASM Global over the last six years. He also held a regional booking manager role and developed content for over 40 of ASM Global\u2019s venues.<\/p>\n
Giordano has started his role immediately and will report to Chris Granger, president of OVG360, the third-party, service-orientated division of OVG.<\/p>\n
Granger said: \u201cJoe\u2019s success has been driven by his deep relationships \u2013 with his colleagues and clients, as well as with top industry touring professionals, promoters, agents, artist management and athletic directors.<\/p>\n

Giordano has replaced Jeff Nickler<\/b>, who is staying with OVG as the senior vice-president and general manager of the OVG-owned and operated Moody Center in Austin, which is due to open next month.<\/p>\n
German entertainment company Goodlive has appointed Annika Hintz <\/b>as the head of music booking for a new festival, Superbloom.<\/p>\n
Superbloom is a music and arts festival that will debut in Munich later this year and will welcome acts such as Calvin Harris and Megan Thee Stallion.<\/p>\n
Hintz has replaced Christof Huber <\/b>who was temporarily in the role. She has previous experience with Hamburg-based promoter Kopf und Steine, where she held the positions of head of booking and department head of the company\u2019s festivals.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, entertainment and venue management company ASM Global has appointed two new senior members to its national partnership management team.<\/p>\n
Carl A. Thomas<\/b> (pictured left)and Meg Little <\/b>(pictured right) have joined ASM Global as senior vice-president, sales and platform development and as vice-president, marketing solutions, respectively. They will both report to ASM Global\u2019s chief commercial officer, Jason Oberlander.<\/p>\n
Thomas has previous experience in senior positions with Universal Studios, Tickets.com, Hookit and also founded his own company, Cat Sports, which aimed to increase revenues and results.<\/p>\n
Little has joined from Raycom Sports, where she managed relationships and partnerships between the production company and major brands.<\/p>\n
Oberlander said: \u201cASM Global\u2019s network of 350 venues is the largest live event marketing platform in the world, but we feel we are just scratching the surface on the partnership value we can bring forward to brands.<\/p>\n
