Ticketing-as-a-service agency Live It has announced it has become carbon neutral, and has celebrated the move with an event \u2013 Tickets for Trees.<\/p>\n
The initiative will see Live It plot a tree for every ticket sold on Earth Day (today) for participating festivals through the Live It platform. Tickets for Trees will kick off the agency\u2019s move to offset the carbon emissions from operations and travel going forward.<\/p>\n
Live It has made the scheme possible through a new partnership with Ecologi, an organisation that helps individuals to plant a tree for free every day, or businesses to plant trees to become climate-positive.<\/p>\n
Festivals that have signed up for the initiatives include Essex dance music event We Are FSTVL, family festival Wychwood, and well-being and nature-based family festival, Into The Wild.<\/p>\n
Other ways in which Live It are working on reducing its environmental impact include rolling out an Apple Pay\/Google Wallet integration, as well as other tools, to help organisers cut down on paper tickets. The agency is also working with clients to host virtually reality meetings in the metaverse to minimise travel.<\/p>\n
Live It chief executive Kenton Ward said: \u201cWe\u2019re really excited about this initiative as it\u2019s not just great for our customers and clients, but also for our planet.<\/p>\n
