The card does this through symbols highlighting the barriers when attending an entertainment venue.<\/p>\n<p>Each symbol on the card is based on a person\u2019s individual rights under the Equality Act and how a service provider or operator has the legal responsibility to make adjustments to allow all to enjoy entertainment. The cards are discreet and eliminate the potential embarrassment of having to explain certain needs.<\/p>\n<p>The card is recognised by a number of major venues across the UK including Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, The O2 and Alton Towers. Attractions and venues abroad also include The Louvre in Paris and Willis Tower in Chicago.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have news! <\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve officially been awarded a Queen&#8217;s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category!!<\/p>\n<p>The Queens Award is the highest official UK award for British businesses: a great recognition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/accesscard?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#accesscard<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/disabledpeople?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#disabledpeople<\/a> and the team!<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BnktMT1EJJ\">https:\/\/t.co\/BnktMT1EJJ<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CCZkNv6D2O\">pic.twitter.com\/CCZkNv6D2O<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Access Card (@AccessCard) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AccessCard\/status\/1517023768337653762?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 21, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The card\u2019s information has also been linked to some company\u2019s computer ticketing systems, including Ticket Factory, which makes the process of purchasing tickets for disabled people easier.<\/p>\n<p>Nimbus has just four members of staff including Martin Austin MBE, who is the managing director and the winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2021\/12\/03\/theticketingbusiness-awards-winners-announced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Outstanding Contribution award<\/a> at the most recent TheTicketingBusiness Awards.<\/p>\n<p>Austin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accesscard.org.uk\/news\/queens-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>: \u201cIt\u2019s not been an easy journey but I can honestly say it\u2019s been an exciting one for me, my colleague Greg Johnson, who has grown with the scheme and is now our lead decision-maker, and our ever-expanding team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe award is also recognition for all those who have supported us.
