Ticketing company Ticketmaster is to enter the South African market for the first time after announcing its launch in Africa\u2019s potentially most lucrative nation.<\/p>\n
Ticketmaster South Africa, to be headquartered in Cape Town, will provide ticketing technologies, solutions and services. The move follows Ticketmaster\u2019s onsale for Justin Bieber\u2019s Justice World Tour, which the company claims was the first international tour to sell all tickets online in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Ticketmaster was also involved in the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 onsale, with the event set to be the country\u2019s first 100% digital sporting event.<\/p>\n
Mark Yovich, president of Ticketmaster, said: \u201cAs a popular stop for the world\u2019s biggest artists and major international sporting events, South Africa is a natural choice for us.<\/p>\n
