LIVE said it continues to lobby on several mechanisms to achieve this, including reforming the business rates system and providing additional funds for artists and freelancers.<\/p>\n<p>Pledges \u2013 ahead of today\u2019s (May 5) local elections \u2013 include a commitment to support local music venues and festivals through local licensing and planning policies, and support for struggling individuals and businesses such as discretionary business rates relief.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" class=\"size-full wp-image-76795 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Local-Election-Live-Twitter-1.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Local-Election-Live-Twitter-1.png 1200w, https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Local-Election-Live-Twitter-1-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Local-Election-Live-Twitter-1-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Local-Election-Live-Twitter-1-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The group called on the public to ensure candidates know about the pledge.
