Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n Profitable Developments Inc has formed CryptoConecerts Inc, a crypto-optimised event solution for ticketing, NFT (non-fungible tokens) integrations and more for in-person and virtual events in the metaverse.<\/p>\n CryptoConcerts is expected to launch in late 2022 with a ticketing platform that will accept crypto and traditional payments. The company will also provide services for NFTs linked to tickets and events, streaming and distribution support for metaverse events.<\/p>\n Further plans include CryptoConcert\u2019s own token called CC Coin and a Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO) to incentivise ticket buyers to engage with the new coin.<\/p>\n Texas Renaissance Festival partnered with digital advertising company StackRabbit to drive ticket sales for the event.<\/p>\n StackRabbit managed the campaign using AdTheorent Direct Access, a self-service method of executing digital media campaigns on AdTheorent\u2019s media buying platform. The target audience was adults aged between 25 and 49 and parents with children at home.<\/p>\n StackRabbit utilised predictive models to reach target consumers with the highest possibility of purchasing a ticket, as well as using contextual keyword targeting to provide data for AdTheorent predictive models. Contextual and privacy-friendly signals available on AdTheorent\u2019s platform also enabled cross-device targeting.<\/p>\n Spanish club RCD Espanyol has partnered with Crypto Snack, to become the first La Liga club to accept cryptocurrency as a payment from next season.<\/p>\n Espanyol fans will be able to purchase tickets, merchandise and food and beverages with cryptocurrencies such as SNACK, Bitcoin, Ethereum and other well-known crypto tokens.<\/p>\n Crypto Snack has headquarters in Barcelona and is listed on several major crypto changes, as well as the largest coin processor on the market, CoinsPaid.<\/p>\n You can read the full story on our sister site: TheStadiumBusiness.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n A digital lottery has opened for the new production of Mary Poppins at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, with performances beginning from May 15.<\/p>\n The lottery is powered through the TodayTix app, with a limited number of A$45 (\u00a325\/\u20ac30\/$32) tickets available to purchase for every performance of Mary Poppins.<\/p>\n The first digital lottery opened Friday May 6 and will close tomorrow (Thursday).
