{"id":168,"date":"2021-11-09T03:41:16","date_gmt":"2021-11-09T11:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2021\/11\/09\/cricket-australia-and-tegs-ovation-announce-data-partnership\/"},"modified":"2021-11-09T03:41:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-09T11:41:16","slug":"cricket-australia-and-tegs-ovation-announce-data-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2021\/11\/09\/cricket-australia-and-tegs-ovation-announce-data-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Cricket Australia and TEG\u2019s Ovation announce data partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Live entertainment, ticketing and technology company TEG will use its analytics business, Ovation, to merge fan data across a number of topics for Cricket Australia as part of a new wide-ranging partnership.<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s cricket governing body will be able to access data across ticketing, membership, merchandise and participation to create an understanding of engagement and purchasing behaviour, as well as grassroots involvement in cricket.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ovation has built a data platform that will connect with Cricket Australia, with the first stage being delivered in time for the men\u2019s Ashes Series this Christmas and the Big Bash League (BBL).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Geoff Jones, chief executive of TEG, said: \u201cTEG has invested many millions of dollars in our data analytics and data science capabilities over a decade to create Ovation, and we are thrilled at this partnership, which is a terrific example of Ovation\u2019s deep capabilities.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Working in tandem with Cricket Australia\u2019s digital ecosystem, the new customer data platform will measure fan engagement anonymously through multiple touchpoints \u2013 whether an individual attends a match, purchases merchandise, becomes a BBL member or participates with a community club.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ovation will combine the anonymous data with TEG-owned Ticketek\u2019s 16 million authenticated users to build a more complete picture of cricket fans and their habits, enabling optimal digital interactions.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley said: \u201cThis is an enormous exciting collaboration, furthering our mission to make cricket a sport for all Australians.
