The Saudi-Arabian funded LIV Golf\u2019s first Invitational teed off yesterday in Centurion Club, near London, but its ticket sales have been somewhat slow, according to reports.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n According to a report from the BBC<\/a>, ticket sales have been slow and that players such as Lee Westwood had been advertising promotional codes for free tickets across social media.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Telegraph<\/a> also reported slow sales for the debut event, with organisers capping attendance at 8,000 fans a day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n US golfers and multiple major winners Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson drew the biggest crowds on the opening day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tickets for the LIV Golf Invitational Series were launched in late April<\/a>, with premium packages for the full schedule costing \u00a39,000 ($11,000\/\u20ac10,600). Prices for the first seven events start at \u00a367 for a single day pass and run up to \u00a3179 for a three-day pass. Single-day hospitality packages are available from \u00a3247.57.<\/p>\n A further seven dates in North America and Asia will follow the inaugural London event.
