UK Music, a British umbrella organisation for the music industry, has launched a new survey to boost diversity and inclusion across the UK\u2019s music sector.<\/p>\n
The UK Music Workforce Diversity Survey, which will be led by UK Music\u2019s Diversity Taskforce, will focus on those that work behind the scenes in the industry, as opposed to those on stage.<\/p>\n
The survey will aim to collate data from across the music business, including studios, management agencies, music publishers, major and independent record labels, as well as music licensing companies and the live music sector.<\/p>\n
UK Music\u2019s survey was originally launched in 2016 and the findings offer the music industry, the UK Government and other stakeholders an insight into where improvements are required.<\/p>\n
It can also highlight where positive changes surrounding diversity and inclusion are already happening across the music sector.<\/p>\n
The survey is introduced every two years, and UK Music is set to publish the results later this year as part of a report.<\/p>\n
