Fans vying to secure presale tickets for Sydney\u2019s Good Things Festival experienced issues when trying to pay for their order.<\/p>\n
Pre-sale tickets went live at 10am this morning (Tuesday) in Australia, with alternative music fans looking to secure tickets to the event, which was founded in 2018.<\/p>\n
The festival\u2019s ticketing partner Oztix issued a statement after a number of buyers were charged multiple times for their purchase.<\/p>\n
Oztix said in a statement: \u201cThere was unprecedented demand for tickets this morning for Good Things Festival 2022. Whilst this is exciting in many ways, there were some technical difficulties.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ticketing system functioned as expected, however the processing of payments saw major delays in response time between the system, payment gateway, banks and back again.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis delay in receiving a confirmation from the bank meant that some customers had multiple attempts at buying tickets and were charged multiple times. All of the order receipts are currently being sent to customers and any customer who has multiple orders will be refunded this afternoon and receive a refund receipt.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is the first time since 2019 that alternative music event Good Things Festival has been able to run, due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n
Organisers of Good Things Festival issued their own statement following the issues experienced by fans.<\/p>\n
It said: \u201cGood Things Festival would like to acknowledge the issues surrounding our Presale this morning. Oztix our ticketing partner apologise unreservedly to all fans affected. We are absolutely blown away by the demand for our festival and can\u2019t wait to see you all in the pit in December.\u201d<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s line-up includes 3OH3!, Bring Me The Horizon and Deftones.<\/p>\n
