Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has announced a new social impact initiative to complement his \u2018Wonder\u2019 world tour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The tour will feature a \u2018Social Impact Village\u2019 with online music show Reverb. The village will include points to discuss Mendes\u2019 foundation, and will allow fans to vote on which issues the foundation should support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Fans will also be able to sign petitions on issues such as the climate crisis and mental health equity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In addition, Mendes will donate $1 from each ticket sold in North America to his Wonder Grants program, which awards young activists with money to support their projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Social Impact Village will also feature those that have already received funding from Wonder Grants, to share their work with other fans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Wonder Grants Initiative has been created in partnership with Global Changemakers, an organisation that supports youth to create positive change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During the \u2018Wonder\u2019 world tour, which has been sponsored by streaming platform Disney+, Mendes will also visit children\u2019s hospitals across the US.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Image: Josiah VanDien<\/a>\/CC BY-SA 4.0<\/a>\/Edited for size<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
