Football governing body FIFA has announced today (Wednesday) that tickets for the 2023 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup will go on sale from October 6.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The tickets for the Women\u2019s World Cup, which is being staged in Australia and New Zealand next year, will go on sale online with adults tickets starting at just A$20\/NZ$20 (\u00a312\/$14\/\u20ac14) for adults and A$10\/NZ$10 for children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n FIFA\u2019s announcement follows a celebration to mark one year to go until the Women\u2019s World Cup kicks off across the two host nations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A cultural lighting ceremony was held at dawn in Hamilton (Kirikiriroa), New Zealand followed by the unveiling of a Unity Pitch in Sydney (Gadigal), Australia. Coordinated evening light shows across the tournament\u2019s nine host cities also took place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Unity Pitch is located on Barangaroo Reserve in Sydney and was unveiled by FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura. It will be open to the public and local football groups until July 24 before touring each of the nine cities in Australia and New Zealand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Sydney\u2019s Harbour Bridge and Auckland (T\u0101maki Makaurau)\u2019s Sky Tower, as well as the Parliament buildings in Wellington (Te Whanganui-a-Tara) were among the locations that were lit up to celebrate one year to go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Other locations including Melbourne (Naarm), Brisbane (Meaanjin), Adelaide (Tarntanya), Perht (Boorloo) and Dunedin (\u014ctepoti) also celebrated.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n FIFA chief women\u2019s football officer Sarai Bareman said: \u201cToday is a hugely exciting milestone and with qualifications taking place around the world for the competition, more community spaces for women and girls to play football, and tickets about to be released, FIFA is hugely excited to see women\u2019s football go beyond greatness in 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n Images:\u00a0Don Arnold\/Phil Walter\/Getty Images courtesy of FIFA<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/A10I6472_097f2fb0-b0bd-4e55-ab3e-edb188056839.jpg\")
