Assomusica, the Italian association of live music show producers and organisers, and Italy\u2019s Minister for Youth Policies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.<\/p>\n
The Memorandum aims to protect young artists and music fans, raise awareness and aid prevention when it comes to negative aspects of the music scene, such as drug-use.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Minister for Youth Fabiana Dadone and his office hold responsibility for anti-drug policies, and signed the document alongside president of Assomusica, Vincenzo Spera.<\/p>\n Minister Dadone said: \u201cMusic has always been at the core of social innovation processes and right now, when at last social life has resumed and people, including many young people, are attending live concerts and shows, I believe it is of the utmost importance to convey important social messages to foster greater awareness of the risks related to forms of addiction, both in terms of drugs and of behavioural nature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTherefore, I really wanted to promote a programme-based collaboration between the Department for Anti-Drug Policies and Assomusica.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIts aim is to spread prevention and awareness-raising initiatives by addressing above all younger generations, as they, more than anyone else, are the most vulnerable category and on which we must instead invest, also in terms of greater engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n Assomusic president Spera added: \u201cThe signing of this Memorandum of Understanding marks a major achievement in the activities carried out by Assomusica for the best practices concerning the millions of youth who take part in our events.<\/p>\n \u201cThis collaboration with the Minister for Youth Policies and the Department has shed a light on the socio-cultural and economic value of our sector; in fact, our work has always been aimed at fostering emotions, social life and above all at facilitating contact between artists and audiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cToday marks the beginning of another challenge aimed at raising awareness, especially among the youth, of the risks related to the use of drugs, which are harmful not only to one\u2019s health but also to one\u2019s soul.\u201d<\/p>\n
