Live events and music fans travelling to festivals in Spain could be asked to prove that they are able to spend at least \u20ac100 (\u00a384\/$102) a day while in the country.<\/p>\n
Rules set by the Spanish Government have said that Brits travelling to Spain would need to show proof of a return or onward ticket, and enough money for their stay.<\/p>\n
As the UK has now left the EU, British travellers will be treated as citizens from \u2018third countries\u2019, which is different to those from the EU.<\/p>\n
Travellers on holiday or attending Spanish live music festivals like Primavera Sound and Mad Cool may also have to show proof of accommodation.<\/p>\n
The Interior Ministry\u2019s requirements for entry says<\/a> that \u201cthe minimum amount to be credited is \u20ac100 per person per day, with a minimum of \u20ac900 or its legal equivalent in foreign currency\u201d.<\/p>\n The Ministry also said that tourists will have to \u201cprove sufficient economic means for the time you intend to stay in Spain, or be able to legally obtain such means\u201d.<\/p>\n The UK Foreign Office states<\/a> that British visitors or holiday-makers may need to \u201cshow a return or onward ticket\u201d, \u201cshow you have enough money for your stay\u201d and to \u201cshow proof of accommodation for your stay\u201d via a hotel booking confirmation.<\/p>\n The rule has been in place since January 1 of this year.<\/p>\n
