{"id":2203,"date":"2022-08-12T02:30:01","date_gmt":"2022-08-12T09:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/12\/rage-against-the-machine-cancel-uk-and-european-tour-dates\/"},"modified":"2022-08-12T02:30:01","modified_gmt":"2022-08-12T09:30:01","slug":"rage-against-the-machine-cancel-uk-and-european-tour-dates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/12\/rage-against-the-machine-cancel-uk-and-european-tour-dates\/","title":{"rendered":"Rage Against The Machine cancel UK and European tour dates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>American rock band Rage Against The Machine have cancelled their upcoming UK and European tour dates, after frontman Zack de la Rocha injured his leg during a performance.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The band had returned to performing last month after an 11-year absence, but de la Rocha injured his leg mid-way through a rescheduled show in Chicago.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>De la Rocha had continued to perform with the band for the North American tour, which had originally been scheduled to begin in March 2020, but was seated for the remaining shows.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The band has now said that the frontman has been advised not to continue beyond their run of dates at Madison Square Garden in New York, which end on Sunday.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This means that Rage Against The Machine will not embark on their UK and European tour, which included two headline slots at Reading &amp; Leeds festival.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/ChHy1yENQoq\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;ig_rid=17901127-41b4-45e4-a862-bc298a54a624\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram<\/a>, the band said: \u201cPer medical guidance, Zack de la Rocha has been advised that the August and September 2022 UK and European leg of the Rage Against The Machine tour cannot proceed.
