{"id":2214,"date":"2022-08-15T03:22:26","date_gmt":"2022-08-15T10:22:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/15\/organisations-call-on-uk-government-to-take-action-against-soaring-energy-costs\/"},"modified":"2022-08-15T03:22:26","modified_gmt":"2022-08-15T10:22:26","slug":"organisations-call-on-uk-government-to-take-action-against-soaring-energy-costs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/08\/15\/organisations-call-on-uk-government-to-take-action-against-soaring-energy-costs\/","title":{"rendered":"Organisations call on UK Government to take action against soaring energy costs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Five organisations representing hospitality, entertainment, music venues and night-time associations have written to the UK Government, calling for action over rising energy costs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>UK Hospitality, Night-Time Industries Association (NTIA), Music Venue Trust, The British Institute of Innkeeping and The British Beer and Pub Association have written a letter the the Government, highlighting the surging energy prices that are effecting business across the country.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some businesses across the hospitality sector are facing a 300% price increase when it comes to their energy bills, putting jobs and businesses at risk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPubs, restaurants, music venues, nightclubs, hotels and wider hospitality have reached the point where the conditions for trading are so prohibitive that many venues are already reducing the hours they open their doors,\u201d the organisations wrote in the letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOthers are confronted with the threat of permanent closure.
