Premier League club Manchester City has witnessed a surge in demand for tickets and memberships following a year of record sales.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Saturday\u2019s game against Bournemouth was the current champion\u2019s first home game of the 2022-23 season, which resulted in a comfortable 4-0 win for the hosts.<\/p>\n Manchester City Women has also witnessed a major increase thanks to the success of England\u2019s women at Euro 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The club\u2019s clash against rivals Manchester United at Etihad Stadium in December sold over 10,000 tickets in the first week on onsales. City has also sold out of its seated capacity for the opening Women\u2019s Super League home game in September against Arsenal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Danny Wilson, head of operations at Manchester City, told the Manchester Evening New<\/a>s: \u201cIt\u2019s really encouraging to see the excitement in the club both locally and globally, at such an early stage of the season, particularly on the back of the pandemic and following our first full season with crowds for a number of years.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re seeing a strong increase in interest across various areas including ticketing, membership and hospitality, in addition to a record year for our retail sales last season, and these are key indicators of the club\u2019s worldwide growth on the back of the on-pitch success of our teams and our commitment to developing new experiences and offerings for our fans.
