The Women\u2019s Super League has continued to benefit from England\u2019s success at Euro 2022, with clubs selling out their season ticket allocations.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n According to an article from the Financial Times<\/a>, Chelsea and Arsenal have both sold out their season ticket allocation for the upcoming season while Manchester City and Leicester City have witnessed their ticket sales almost double.<\/p>\n Aston Villa has said that its ticket sales were up 84% compared to last season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Despite the increase, women\u2019s football is still held back by the location of matches. Only two club\u2019s in women\u2019s top tier football regularly share a stadium with the men\u2019s teams \u2013 Reading and Leicester.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Arsenal\u2019s home matches are played at Boreham Wood\u2019s Meadow Park which has a total capacity of 4,000, meaning the club can only sell 1,500 season tickets. However, Arsenal is set to play at least six matches at the Emirates Stadium where the men\u2019s team play, with its match against rivals Tottenham Hotspur in September already selling over 25,000 tickets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Other clubs in the WSL are also looking to play at bigger stadiums including Manchester City, which will host Manchester United at the 55,000-capacity Etihad Stadium in December.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Chelsea will play against West Ham at Stamford Bridge and Brighton has said that at least two women\u2019s games will take place at Amex Stadium this season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Ticket sales for women\u2019s football<\/a> and women\u2019s rugby<\/a> have rocketed since England became European champions, with 65,000 tickets selling for England\u2019s game against the US at Wembley in October<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Image: Katie Chan<\/a>\/CC BY-SA 4.0<\/a>\/Edited for size<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
