South Korea-based immersive entertainment company Kamp Global and Eventim Live Asia have introduced a K-pop event in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Kamp LA 2022 will take place at Rose Bowl Stadium (pictured) on October 15 and 16.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Confirmed acts for the event include Monsta X, Kai \u2013 who is part of Exo and Super M \u2013 and Jeon Somi in their solo US debut appearance. Super Junior are also on the bill while Ikon will perform in the US for the first time since the pandemic. BamBam, Zion T and Lapillus will also perform.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Artist Kai said: \u201cIt\u2019s exciting to take part in the Kamp LA lineup. This may legitimately be the biggest K-pop event in US history.\u201d<\/p>\n Super Junior\u2019s Lee Teuk added: \u201cTo be part of what should be the biggest K-pop music experience in history is incredibly exciting. This is something special that K-pop fans will remember and talk about for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n The immersive two-day concert will feature arts, culinary, gaming and brand collaborations including a partnership with Los Angeles artist Kenny Scharf, who will create Kamp LA 2022\u2019s imagery and aesthetics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Through another partnership with South Korean media company Dingo Music and personalised card payment system i-Aurora, Kamp will also reveal exclusive content and technology within the live music space. This will include personalised collectible Kamp LA-branded South Korean payment approved cards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event has been curated by Kamp Global chief executive Tim Kim with help from Eventim Live Asia and its CEO, Jason Miller. Kamp was first introduced to the scene with its 2019 Singapore festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Kim said: \u201cWe want Kamp LA to be the ultimate K-pop experience in all aspects. US fans have waited so long for great music because of the pandemic \u2013 they need to see their favourite artists for the first time in two years in many cases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEveryone in K-pop wants to break into America. There\u2019s a deep connection between Korean culture and LA. This was always the place to start. But we are also going to bring K-pop worldwide with Kamp and Eventim Live Asia. We will go to all markets where K-pop resonates \u2013 which is everywhere these days. Kamp isn\u2019t just about mega-concerts or historic events \u2013 it\u2019s a culture.\u201d<\/p>\n Eventim Live Asia\u2019s Miller added: \u201cKim\u2019s vision was immediately exciting. Kamp Global and Eventim Live Asia share a true global vision for K-pop and the experience to make it happen in unprecedented ways. Kamp LA is a meaningful first step in that direction.
