Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries\u2026\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n K-pop festival KCON LA recently wrapped up its first in-person edition since 2019 with a second multi-act concert at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Organisers confirmed that more than 90,000 visitors attended the conference aspect of the event at the Los Angeles Convention Center, while an additional 7.17 million tuned in worldwide via streaming.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Hungary\u2019s Sziget Festival has entered the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and has issued and minted its first set of Sziget artworks. Organisers have also created the Sziget Festival NFT Club.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n During this year\u2019s festival earlier this month, festival-goers were able to access free NFT versions of key images from previous editions. Attendees could also become members of the SzigetVibes NFT Club.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n English rock band Muse is set to release a new album in the form of an NFT. The band will also release its album in the more traditional format of a standard CD, vinyl and as a digital download.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the UK, Muse\u2019s NFT version of the album \u2018Will of the People\u2019 will even be judged as \u2018chart-compliant\u2019, meaning those that buy NFT albums will help the band in the music charts. Only 1,000 NFTs are being made available and will cost around \u00a320 ($24\/\u20ac24).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n MundoCrypto, a cryptocurrency training academy in Spanish-speaking countries, is attempting to host the biggest in-person virtual reality (VR) event in the world, while also launching its own Metaverse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event is set to take place on August 27 at the WiZink Center in Madrid, where 7,500 guests will look to break the world record in the VR category.
