Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Palmeiras has hired an external audit to investigate failures in the club\u2019s ticket sales system following complaints from fans, according to a report from Gazeta Esportiva<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It is hoped that the audit and subsequent changes will also help to deter ticket touts from taking advantage of fans wishing to attend games at Allianz Parque.<\/p>\n The audit monitored the system while tickets were on sale for the recently held match against Club Athletico Paranaense.<\/p>\n Fans have experienced issues when purchasing tickets, in particular when trying to buy tickets through the priority system. Customers have also complained about the inflated prices of tickets on resale sites.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Palmeiras has also said that it will look into technological solutions like the installation of biometrics at the turnstiles of Allianz Parque and facial recognition, to help prevent third parties from taking advantage of fans. The club also said it would further look into digital ticketing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Palmeiras has also worked with the military police and other authorities to help with investigations into ticket touts, and the prevention of these problems.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Palmerias has increased its average audience at Allianz Parque, which boasts a capacity of 45,000, over the last few years.
