Formula 1 fans will have the opportunity to support local charities when expressing their interest in tickets for the new Las Vegas Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
The motorsport race has been added to the calendar for 2023 and fans are now able to register their interest for tickets. The event is set to take place on a Saturday night in November next year, with over 100,000 spectators expected to attend.<\/p>\n
Stefano Domenicali, president and chief executive of Formula 1, said: \u201cA ticket to the Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the hottest ticket in global sport next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cTaking over the sports and entertainment capital of the world for almost an entire week is going to be a game changer for Formula 1 and has the potential to set the benchmark for all global sports and entertainment events in the future. Fans won\u2019t want to miss it.\u201d<\/p>\n
While F1\u2019s governing body the FIA has yet to confirm the dates of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, fans can register for a ticket to the event while also helping local charities at the same time.<\/p>\n
When signing up their interest in tickets, fans will be asked if they\u2019d like to donate a lucky $7.77 (\u00a36.76\/\u20ac7.84) to the Las Vegas Grand Prix Foundation. The donations will then be shared out between projects across Nevada, which will include providing one million free meals to the local Las Vegas community through the relaunch of Three Square\u2019s hot food rescue program in 2023.<\/p>\n
On working with local Las Vegas charities Three Square, Green Our Planet and Just One Project, recently appointed<\/a> Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO Renee Wilm said: \u201cWhile we are confident in the positive economic impact the Grand Prix will bring to the greater Las Vegas area, we are focused on making a difference for those most in need.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are in Las Vegas for the long term and look forward to contributing to the community in many ways over the coming years. One million free meals is just the beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n
