{"id":2393,"date":"2022-09-06T02:00:57","date_gmt":"2022-09-06T09:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/06\/tdc-supports-live-production-and-theatre-students\/"},"modified":"2022-09-06T02:00:57","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T09:00:57","slug":"tdc-supports-live-production-and-theatre-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/06\/tdc-supports-live-production-and-theatre-students\/","title":{"rendered":"TDC supports live production and theatre students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Australia\u2019s Technical Direction Company (TDC) has introduced a new training and support initiative to support students and graduates across theatre and live production courses.<\/p>\n<p>Students and graduates of the VET (Diploma of Live Production and Technical Services) and BFA (Technical Theatre and Stage Management) courses at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in Sydney will receive support from TDC, in the form of practical experience with a variety of technologies and entertainment industry best practice.<\/p>\n<p>The BFA is a 15-month course that focuses mostly on practical experience with theory and art modules thrown in. With the events industry \u2013\u00a0which was once worth A$36bn (\u00a321bn\/$24bn\/\u20ac25bn) \u2013 returning after the pandemic in Australia, TDC highlights the need for strengthened training and development to generate new talent and business opportunities across the live production sector.<\/p>\n<p>Graham Henstock, director of the Centre for Technology, Production and Management at NIDA, said: \u201cTDC is one of NIDA\u2019s major partners. TDC regularly provides us with teaching assistance, technical expertise, and access to video equipment for live performance. TDC supports an annual scholarship for a student.
