Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida has suspended sales of most of its annual ticket pass offering without stating a specific reason why.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Disney\u2019s \u2018Pirate Pass\u2019, \u2018Sorcerer Pass\u2019 and \u2018Incredi-Pass\u2019 sales have been halted. The only pass that is still available to purchase is the \u2018Pixie Dust Pass\u2019, which is only available to Florida residents. This type of annual pass also has the most days in which it can\u2019t be used.<\/p>\n
Disney fans that are lucky enough to already own one of the annual passes are still allowed to renew them if they expire, with the change only applying to new sales of the annual tickets.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Florida theme park previously suspended sales of the annual pass selection at the start of the pandemic. They were only brought back in September with a structure in place that required pass holders to make a reservation before they visited the Disney parks.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Disneyland Resort in California has also come under fire from Disney fans over recent price increases for tickets and annual passes. It was the fifth time in five years<\/a> that park ticket prices had been increased.\u00a0<\/p>\n The annual pass system was replaced with a more expensive Magic Key scheme, with the Dream Key pass in the top tier setting back punters \u00a31,018 (\u20ac1,203).\u00a0<\/p>\n There are five different tiers for ticketing, with the prices reflecting the expected demand on any given day.\u00a0<\/p>\n When annual pass sales resumed in September at Florida\u2019s Walt Disney World following the pandemic, fans also faced a price increase, with pass holders also receiving fewer benefits.
