{"id":2771,"date":"2022-10-24T03:38:57","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T10:38:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/24\/uk-theatre-awards-crowns-2022-winners\/"},"modified":"2022-10-24T03:38:57","modified_gmt":"2022-10-24T10:38:57","slug":"uk-theatre-awards-crowns-2022-winners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/24\/uk-theatre-awards-crowns-2022-winners\/","title":{"rendered":"UK Theatre Awards crowns 2022 winners"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"primary\">\n<p class=\"standfirst\">The 2022 UK Theatre Awards revealed its winners at a London ceremony yesterday (Sunday), with Leeds Playhouse coming away the most decorated.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The theatre won three awards including the UK\u2019s Most Welcoming Theatre, Best Design for Laura Hopkins and Simon Wainwright for \u2018Dracula: The Untold Story\u2019 and Best Performance in a Musical for Divina de Campo (pictured centre) for \u2018Hedwig and the Angry Inch\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Best director was won by Elin Schofield, Robert Hastie and Anthony Las for \u2018Rock\/Paper\/Scissors\u2019. The cast of the production performed in the Crucible, Lyceum and Studios simultaneously at Sheffield Theatres.<\/p>\n<p>Curve Theatre Leicester\u2019s \u2018Billy Elliot the Musical\u2019 won Best Musical Production, while \u2018Mugabe, My Dad &amp; Me\u2019 won Best New Play.
