{"id":2787,"date":"2022-10-25T08:07:54","date_gmt":"2022-10-25T15:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/25\/two-astroworld-lawsuits-reportedly-settled\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T08:07:54","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T15:07:54","slug":"two-astroworld-lawsuits-reportedly-settled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/10\/25\/two-astroworld-lawsuits-reportedly-settled\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Astroworld lawsuits reportedly settled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"primary\">\n<p class=\"standfirst\">Two lawsuits have reportedly been settled by families of victims of the Astroworld tragedy.\u00a0&#13;\n<\/p>\n<p>A number of reports have surfaced surrounding a settlement agreement being reached with the family of Alex Acosta, a 21-year-old that was killed during last year\u2019s festival.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/news\/houston-texas\/astroworld-fest-tragedy\/article\/victims-settlement-travis-scott-live-nation-17521928.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Houston Chronicle<\/a> has also reported that a settlement has been agreed for the family of 16-year-old victim, Brianna Rodriguez.<\/p>\n<p>In early November last year, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2021\/11\/08\/live-nation-and-travis-scott-named-in-lawsuits-over-astroworld-deaths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crowd crush<\/a> at Travis Scott\u2019s Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas left 10 people dead and hundreds more injured.<\/p>\n<p>According to NBC, attorney Tony Buzbee filed a lawsuit in November seeking more than $750m (\u00a3653m\/\u20ac754m) on behalf of at least 125 victims, including Acosta.<\/p>\n<p>Buzbee said in a statement online: \u201cLead counsel Tony Buzbee and The Buzbee Law Firm announced today that the claims brought by the family of Axel Acosta against Travis Scott, Live Nation, and others involved in the Astroworld tragedy have settled. The terms are confidential. Victim Axel Acosta was a beloved son, brother, and student. He was kind and loving. He is greatly missed.
