{"id":2858,"date":"2022-11-02T06:43:03","date_gmt":"2022-11-02T13:43:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/11\/02\/rugby-football-union-raises-england-six-nations-ticket-prices-report\/"},"modified":"2022-11-02T06:43:03","modified_gmt":"2022-11-02T13:43:03","slug":"rugby-football-union-raises-england-six-nations-ticket-prices-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/11\/02\/rugby-football-union-raises-england-six-nations-ticket-prices-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Rugby Football Union raises England Six Nations ticket prices &#8211; report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"primary\">\n<p class=\"standfirst\">The Rugby Football Union has hiked up ticket prices for next year\u2019s Six Nations, to help cover overheads due to inflation. <\/p>\n<p>As reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/sport\/2022\/nov\/01\/rfu-hike-up-six-nations-prices-for-england-matches-over-rising-costs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Guardian<\/a>, the RFU had decided that prices for the 2022-23 season would rise roughly in line with inflation.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>However, due to the surging energy prices and rise in supplier costs like hotels, travel and matchday staff, the RFU has decided to add a further increase of \u00a35 ($6\/\u20ac6) for England\u2019s home fixtures against Scotland and France, and a rise of \u00a32 for the Italy fixture at Twickenham (pictured).<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Changes were not made in time for England\u2019s upcoming autumn fixtures but have been made for the Six Nations, with hopes to bring in a further \u00a3800,000 to help mitigate against increased costs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The RFU has yet to sell out autumn fixtures against Argentina or Japan according to the report, but marquee matches against the likes of New Zealand could sell out multiple times over and are worth a lot to the union.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Prior to the decision being made surrounding an increase to Six Nations prices, the proposed \u00a35 rise would see more than two-thirds of tickets costing more than \u00a3100.
