Premiership Rugby has today announced a long-term partnership with ticketing platform, Ticketmaster Sport.\u00a0<\/p>\n
As the official ticketing partner for Premiership Rugby, Ticketmaster Sport will deliver ticketing technology and marketing solutions over the next five years.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Premiership Rugby and Ticketmaster Sport will create a one-stop-shop for fans to purchase tickets for Gallagher Premiership Rugby \u2013 both league matches and June\u2019s final.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mark Brittain, the chief commercial officer at Premiership Rugby, said: \u201cThis partnership enables Premiership Rugby to leverage the expertise of the global market leader in live event ticketing products and services. It will make it easy for fans to enjoy what we believe is the greatest domestic rugby tournament in the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWith Ticketmaster\u2019s unmatched reach and marketing support, we will work together on our vision to grow the game in the UK and attract more fans to the sport. Gallagher Premiership Rugby has never been more compelling and exciting as it is today, with an average of more than six tries in every match and around 50% of our games finishing with a winning margin of fewer than seven points.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
The new platform will be launched in December to sell tickets for the Gallagher Premiership Rugby Final 2022, and eventually, tickets for matches across Gallagher Premiership Rugby.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Brittain added: \u201cThis new service strengthens our objective to put our fans first, creating a safe and reliable solution for supporters to buy tickets for Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches and our Final on 18 June.<\/p>\n
\u201cCreating easier access to our matches for current and new fans is one of our key priorities so this innovation will help grow the game. We also have significant interest from overseas supporters in our matches, so this new service will ensure fans in any time zone can buy tickets for Gallagher Premiership Rugby.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis deal \u2013 which will deliver ticketing technology and marketing solutions for the next five years \u2013 ensures we will receive world-class service and industry-leading ticketing technology from Ticketmaster Sport.\u201d<\/p>\n
The partnership will also see Ticketmaster Sport support Premiership Rugby in developing marketing campaigns to drive reach, engagement and entice new fans.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the UK, Ticketmaster Sport is also the official ticketing provider for the Rugby Football Union, Welsh Rugby Union and Scottish Rugby Union. In Ireland, Ticketmaster partners with the Irish Rugby Football Union, Leinster Rugby, Munster Rugby and Ulster Rugby.\u00a0<\/p>\n
