This system reportedly takes the queue out of the process.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes after Ticketmaster was forced to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2022\/11\/18\/ticketmaster-cancels-taylor-swift-general-on-sale-issues-explanation-into-chaos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cancel the tour\u2019s general sale<\/a>, after its website buckled under the pressure of millions of users trying to purchase tickets in the pre-sale.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It was revealed earlier this week that Taylor Swift fans would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2022\/12\/13\/taylor-swift-fans-offered-second-chance-to-purchase-eras-tour-tickets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">given a second chance<\/a> to purchase tickets.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Billboard reported that Ticketmaster will use Ticketstoday, a company which it owns, that still operates the Verified Fan platform.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Ticketstoday will pace the sales and they will be processed away from the public, avoiding the same major issues from the previous pre-sale. The platform will also help to select which fans will be able to participate in the sales.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to reports, fans who purchased tickets to the 2020 Lover Festival, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, have been made a priority.
