Glasgow\u2019s Pavilion Theatre has confirmed that there will be no further discussions with Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) over the potential sale of the venue.<\/p>\n
The 1,449-capacity theatre was put up for sale last year with a reported price tag of \u00a33.9m ($4.6m\/\u20ac4.4m).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Theatre manager Iain Gordon, who has been at the venue for over four decades, has said in a statement that a sale to the major theatre organisation will not be made. The potential sale to ATG had brought scrutiny as ATG already owns Glasgow\u2019s King\u2019s Theatre and the Theatre Royal \u2013 the Pavilion\u2019s competition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The statement read: \u201cWe would like to confirm that no further discussions are taking place with ATG (Ambassador Theatre Group) about a potential sale of the Pavilion Theatre.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of our customers have repeatedly asked us during the past months \u2018If I book for future shows will my tickets be valid?\u2019 This was never in question and any deal made would have ensured that all tickets and shows booked would have remained valid.<\/p>\n \u201cTickets are now on sale for shows throughout this year and beyond and as always you have the security that these tickets will be valid for all performances in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n The statement added: \u201cWe would like to thank our loyal customers far and wide for their continual support which has helped make this year\u2019s Panto season one of the most memorable and successful that we have had at the Theatre.\u201d<\/p>\n
