It was also announced that tickets for the majority of concerts would be non-transferable to protect fans against scalpers.<\/p>\n<p>However, a number of fans have posted images that show how Ticketmaster\u2019s fees cost substantially more than the ticket itself. One customer purchased four tickets at $20 (\u00a317\/\u20ac19) each, but found that the service charge was $11.65 per ticket, the facility charge equated to $10 a ticket and the order processing fee was $5.50 per ticket. In total, the order for four tickets amounted to $172.10.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">the cure deliberately kept ticket prices low and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Ticketmaster?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Ticketmaster<\/a> was like \u201clol bet\u201d and charges more in fees than the band is for the actual show <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ig0U5Ywcpw\">pic.twitter.com\/Ig0U5Ywcpw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 frank costanza\u2019s lawyer (@_carrrmen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/_carrrmen\/status\/1636008176431640578?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 15, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Smith said on Twitter: \u201cI am as sickened as you all are by today\u2019s Ticketmaster \u2018fees\u2019 debacle. To be very clear: The artist has no way to limit them. I have been asking how they are justified. X<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ROBERT SMITH (@RobertSmith) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobertSmith\/status\/1636188988238077953?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 16, 2023<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The singer also said that the band did not agree to Ticketmaster\u2019s \u2018Platinum\u2019 ticketing option as they believed it was a \u201cgreedy scam\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote: \u201cWe didn\u2019t agree to the \u2018dynamic pricing\u2019\/\u2018price surging\u2019\/ \u2018Platinum Ticket\u2019 thing\u2026because it is itself a bit of a scam? A separate conversation!<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I meant by this bit was\u2026 I had a separate conversation about \u2018Platinum\u2019, to see if I had misunderstood something\u2026but I hadn\u2019t!
