We round up the latest movements from the ticketing sector and associated industries\u2026<\/p>\n
Live entertainment and ticketing company TEG has appointed impresario Randy Phillips<\/b> (pictured right) to its board of directors. <\/span><\/p>\n Phillips will be in both an advisory and operational role and has already acted on TEG\u2019s behalf, working with DONDA Touring in producing and promoting the sold out benefit performed by artists Ye (Kanye West) and Drake. The concert at LA Coliseum was to raise awareness and support for Larry Hoover, prison and sentencing reform. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI have had many opportunities in my career to work with some of the greatest artists and executives in the live entertainment sector of the music industry,\u201d said Phillips. \u201cJoining the extraordinary TEG team is a dream come true for me since I have so much respect for TEG Group chief executive Geoff Jones, who built an incredibly well-run and market-leading company in Australia and New Zealand and built on that success across the globe. <\/span><\/p>\n Phillips added: \u201cWorking with a true musical genius like Kanye, again, was an opportunity that my role at TEG afforded me and the results were financially and historically significant. This is just the beginning since our artists work for their fans and TEG works for our artists. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTogether with my colleagues on the board and in the operating divisions of TEG, we plan on strategically growing the business through organic growth and acquisitions.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Phillips will work alongside Los Angeles-based TEG executive Amos Pizzey. Phillips most recently served as the president and CEO of LiveStyle, a music event producer where he had joined the company in 2016. Prior to LiveStyle, Phillips was CEO at AEG Live for 13 years. <\/span><\/p>\n Geoff Jones, group CEO, TEG, said: \u201cRandy\u2019s track record in the business speaks for itself. He has done just about everything in the live space and has enormous knowledge, experience, and expertise that I look forward to tapping into and working collaboratively with in order to grow the TEG business globally. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cRandy shares our growth aspirations, and I have really enjoyed working with him so far. He has already added so much, and I look forward to a long partnership with Randy.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Elsewhere and ticketing company AXS has announced that Jay Sietsema<\/b> (pictured left) will become the general manager of its Swedish unit, in January. <\/span><\/p>\n Sietsema will aim to continue the development of AXS Sweden and will work with the ticketing company\u2019s portfolio of clients, including Stockholm Live, Swedish Ice Hockey League clubs and Swedish Elite Football League teams. He has previous experience with Live Nation, AEG Facilities and was most recently the managing director for Eventim Sweden. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI am truly delighted to be joining AXS,\u201d said Sietsema. \u201cIt\u2019s a great company with a great culture. AXS has long been a local market leader and I\u2019m excited about the company\u2019s continued focus on growing the business through collaboration and innovation.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Sietsema will report to Tom Andrus, chief operating officer for AXS and will take the place of Oscar Klingensj\u00f6. <\/span><\/p>\n Andrus said: \u201cI\u2019m thrilled to welcome Jay to the team; his background and experience ushers in yet another exciting new chapter for our businesses in Sweden. I would also like to offer immense thanks to Oscar for his years of service here at AXS. Under his leadership we\u2019ve seen a tremendous uptick in growth and strength that has enabled us to perform at an extremely high level.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Klingensj\u00f6 added: \u201cI want to thank our clients, partners, colleagues around the world and of course my fantastic team in Sweden for my almost five years at AXS. I am proud of the partnerships we have built, the trust we gained and the incredible team spirit that our employees have shown. I wish AXS all the best in the future and will continue to cheer from the sidelines.\u201d<\/p>\n Chris Donohue<\/b> has taken on the role of general manager of Front Gate Tickets, which is the festival ticketing platform for Ticketmaster in North America. <\/span><\/p>\n Donohue was previously the vice president of business strategy and partnerships at See Tickets in North America. <\/span><\/p>\n In his new role, Donohue will oversee a range of global strategic initiatives across multiple departments, including field technology, products, account management, marketing and sales. <\/span><\/p>\n In the American Hockey League, and Carli Faust<\/b> has joined Lehigh Valley Phantoms as manager of sports ticket operations. <\/span><\/p>\n Richard Lintker, vice president, ticket sales, service and operations, Lehigh Valley Phantoms and PPL Center, wrote on LinkedIn<\/a>: \u201cWe have had a wealth of extremely talented ticket operations folks at this arena over the last few years, and we are thrilled to add one more name to this outstanding list. We are excited to welcome Carli Faust to our team here at the PPL Center and Lehigh Valley Phantoms to be our new manager of sports ticket operations. <\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWith so many exciting sports and entertainment events lining up in the new year for our arena, we are definitely thrilled to add someone of Carli\u2019s caliber to our overall ticketing team.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n Faust was most recently the business development manager for minor league ice hockey team Jacksonville Icemen, and has previously been ticket sales manager for another minor league team, Quad City Mallards Hockey.<\/p>\n Do you have news of an appointment that we should know about?
