Nearly 250,000 additional tickets have been put on general sale ahead of this year\u2019s FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n
Football\u2019s global governing body FIFA said that the new ticketing inventory would go on sale on Tuesday, with seats available across all 64 matches.<\/p>\n
FIFA said that it had \u201creviewed the available inventory for all matches\u201d ahead of the announcement, with the tickets available via the governing body\u2019s in-house platform. FIFA also confirmed that its official ticket resale platform for the tournament had gone live at FIFA.com\/tickets.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are delighted that supporters in Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and across the globe will have more opportunities to purchase tickets for all 64 matches at this year\u2019s FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup, which is now just 48 days from kick-off,\u201d FIFA chief women\u2019s football officer, Sarai Bareman, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMany matches in both host countries have experienced significant interest and sales demand, so we trust that this latest supply of tickets will enable some truly passionate fans to secure seats at matches that they may have missed out on so far.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFans from over 150 different countries of residence have purchased tickets for the tournament, so we can\u2019t wait to see the football world unite in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand next month,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The latest release of tickets for the tournament will include some seats with obstructed views, which will be priced at a 50% discount.<\/p>\n
FIFA said that further ticket allocations may be released over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
It emerged earlier this week that more than 850,000 tickets had been sold for this year\u2019s tournament<\/a>, which will run from July 20 to August 20.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n
