Live Nation is among the major organisations that have joined the new breakaway industry trade group Assoconcerti.<\/p>\n
Assoconcerti, which will be officially launched in September, has named Bruno Sconocchia as its first president just weeks after the leading Italian promoter failed in his bid to become head of existing group Assomusica\u2019s president. Turin-based promoter Carlo Parodi was elected<\/a> as the existing group\u2019s president in May following the tragic death of predecessor Vincenzo Spera<\/a> in a road traffic collision in March, but he was not the choice of many of the market\u2019s biggest players.<\/p>\n In a statement, Assoconcerti said the new organisation will exercise the functions of representation and assistance of live music operators in all legislative, contractual and trade union offices and in relations with institutions, administrations and public and private, national and international organisations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe aim of the association\u2026 is to promote and develop the diffusion of music in general, and in particular contemporary Italian popular music, both in Italy and abroad, emphasising the determining role of music and of culture for the enrichment of the social and civil fabric of local realities and of the entire country,\u201d Assoconcerti said in a statement.<\/p>\n Assoconcerti said it has attracted \u201call the most important Italian promoters\u201d to its membership. These include AC, Ambaradans, BPM Concerti, Color Sound, Comcertos, DI & GI, Esse Concerti, Friends & Partners Spa, FVG Live, GF Entertainment, Carramusa Group, Habita, International Music and Arts \u2013 Master\u2019s Voice, Live Nation 2, Live Nation 3, Musica Grandi Produzioni, Producteam, Show Net, Sol Eventi, Studio\u2019s Programmazione Spettacoli, The Base, Trident Music, Vertigo, Vivo Concerti, and Zed Entertainment\u2019s World.<\/p>\n Sconocchia\u2019s clients during his long career have included Zucchero and Lucio Dalla.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p><\/div>\n
