Toby Leighton-Pope<\/b> (pictured left) has stepped down from his role as co-chief executive of live events company AEG Presents in the UK, it has been announced by AEG Europe.<\/p>\n
Leighton-Pope originally joined AEG in 2016 where he was appointed as joint-CEO alongside Steve Homer. Before joining the UK arm, Leighton-Pope worked at Live Nation for 15 years which included a role as the senior vice president of music.<\/p>\n
In a statement, AEG Europe said: \u201cSteve Homer will continue to lead the division focusing on further growing the touring business and developing the roster of venues operated by AEG Presents UK. These include Wolverhampton Civic Halls and Olympia London, both of which are undergoing multi-million-pound renovations and are set to open in 2022 and 2024 respectively.\u201d<\/p>\n
Leighton-Pope has promoted and worked on tours of multiple international stars including Rod Stewart, The Who, Michael Bubl\u00e9 and Justin Beiber as well as Shawn Mendes.<\/p>\n
Minor League Baseball (MiLB) side Wichita Wind Surge has welcomed Jason Gavigan<\/b> (pictured right) as its director of ticket operations, starting today (Wednesday).<\/p>\n
Gavigan wrote on LinkedIn<\/a>: \u201cThis is going to be a new year unlike the others before it. I\u2019m very excited to announce that I\u2019ll be joining the Wichita Wind Surge as their director of ticket operations starting on January 5th!<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m excited to get to work and help this young franchise create an effective ticketing strategy and get to know their fans through data analysis. It will be a new challenge, and I\u2019m ready to get to work! Looking forward to becoming part of the Wichita community!\u201d<\/p>\n Gavigan has previously been the vice president of ticket service and analytics at MiLB side Hillsboro Hops, where he spent almost a decade in the role. He has also been the director of ticket operations at MiLB franchise Yakima Bears Baseball.<\/p>\n Canadian software company StellarAlgo has brought in Nate Black<\/b> as sales manager, where he will help to drive ticketing and marketing through the use of software for sports teams and the live entertainment industry.<\/p>\n Black wrote on LinkedIn<\/a>: \u201cExcited to be back in the sports and entertainment industry, helping teams, live events and brands make data more accessible to drive ticketing, marketing and partnership decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n Do you have news of an appointment that we should know about?
