Newton has been chairman of the board at Evvnt since January 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Richard Green, founder of Evvnt, said: \u201cPeter\u2019s significant tech and media experience, together with his leadership and ability to scale high-growth SaaS [software-as-a-service] companies, is just what Evvnt needs as we head into the next phase of our growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve proved the Evvnt and local media partnership model works, creating extra revenue opportunities for us and the publisher. With Peter\u2019s help, we plan to drive more revenue for our existing media partners and introduce new partner relationships as we progress through 2022.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Newton added: \u201cIt\u2019s a very exciting time to come fully into the business. I see a huge opportunity for Evvnt. Event organisers need help driving attendance and selling tickets. Events leading edge platform + media partners\u2019 trusted local brands, audience and customer relationships is the winning formula.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Financial security solutions provider for the live event industry, Protecht, has appointed <b>Brian Arnone <\/b>(pictured right) as senior vice-president of music and mid-market. Arnone boasts over 25 years in ticketing technology and experiential marketing and has been in key leadership roles during this time.<\/p>\n<p>Protecht CEO Bryan Derbyshire said: \u201cProtecht is a natural home for Brian. Protecht is laser-focused on tapping new technology to enhance the fans\u2019 ticket buying experience, and Brian has dedicated his career to forging collaborative relationships with ticketing partners and building the best-in-class internal teams to sell tickets and get fans in those coveted seats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking with Brian, ticketing partners will only further benefit by offering FanShield powered by Protecht ticket purchase protection and other proprietary solutions to their loyal customers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arnone added: \u201cI\u2019m stoked to be on the Protecht team. I\u2019ve had the incredible fortune to be mentored by, lead and be in the service of some remarkable people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProtecht has some game-changers in the pipeline that I just can\u2019t wait to share with partners.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Tix Ticketing, which caters for performing arts organisations, theatres, cultural houses and similar venues, recently announced its launch in the US and has appointed <b>Aren Murray<\/b>\u00a0(pictured left) to lead the new operation. Murray has joined in the role of business development manager.<\/p>\n<p>Murray said: \u201cTix Ticketing takes a stimulating and intuitive approach to ticketing technology that will greatly benefit US venues and performing arts organisations. I\u2019m thrilled to become part of an organisation that creates a different live entertainment and ticketing experience. This is a group of people who are committed, as I am, to bringing the best ticketing options and solutions to the industry and to fans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Joey Catrino<\/b> has recently started a new role as director, event marketing and sales \u2013 West Central at live production company Feld Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>Catrino was previously assistant vice-president of marketing at Old Missouri Bank and is also a board member of Springfield, Missouri, Sports Commission.<\/p>\n<p><b>Rosa Martinez<\/b> will lead the Spanish office of Swiss fintech company Utopia Music, a company that concentrates on creating new revenue streams and consolidating data across the music industry.<\/p>\n<p>Martinez has previously worked as the European marketing director for ticketing platform AXS, as well as executive roles at other ticketing companies Ticketmaster and CTS Eventim. She will report directly to chief operating officer Roberto Neri.<\/p>\n<p><b>Jed Weitzman <\/b>has joined live event ticketing technology and analytics company Logitix, as the head of music. He will lead the music division, optimising ticket sales through data, dynamic pricing and distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Logitix CEO Stuart Halberg said: \u201cJed is one of the most respected leaders in our industry. He has a proven track record of helping artists and promoters navigate their ticketing strategy and increase revenue.
