{"id":695,"date":"2022-02-04T02:13:56","date_gmt":"2022-02-04T10:13:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/04\/pay-as-you-wish-scheme-considered-for-indias-historical-monuments\/"},"modified":"2022-02-04T02:13:56","modified_gmt":"2022-02-04T10:13:56","slug":"pay-as-you-wish-scheme-considered-for-indias-historical-monuments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/04\/pay-as-you-wish-scheme-considered-for-indias-historical-monuments\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Pay-as-you-wish\u2019 scheme considered for India\u2019s historical monuments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>An Indian committee has approached government agency the Archeological Survey of India (ASI), to consider introducing a \u2018pay-as-you-wish ticketing\u2019 scheme at all ticketed ASI monuments across the country.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture\u2019s proposal noted that a minimum fee should remain in place, but the payment scheme would help to drive tourism and inspire visitors to contribute.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The ASI is responsible for more than 3650 ancient monuments, sites and remains across India. These can include temples, mosques, churches, tombs and palaces.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The committee also suggested that special tours at archaeological sites and monuments be introduced before and after regular hours, allowing for a higher fee to be charged.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Culture promised to examine the technical feasibility of introducing the \u2018pay-as-you-wish\u2019 system.
