{"id":709,"date":"2022-02-07T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-07T11:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/07\/diageo-to-introduce-new-guinness-experience-in-london\/"},"modified":"2022-02-07T03:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-02-07T11:00:00","slug":"diageo-to-introduce-new-guinness-experience-in-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/07\/diageo-to-introduce-new-guinness-experience-in-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Diageo to introduce new Guinness experience in London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Beverage company Diageo is set to open a new attraction and microbrewery in London, bringing life back to Old Brewer\u2019s Yard, which first brewed beer back in 1722.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Guinness at Old Brewer\u2019s Yard\u2019 will build on the success of tourist hotspot and brewery experience, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin, and Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh, which was opened last year.<\/p>\n<p>The new 50,000 square foot venue is projected to create up to 150 new jobs for those in London and provide a community space within the area of Covent Garden.<\/p>\n<p>Diageo Great Britain managing director, Dyalan Nayager, said: \u201cWe\u2019re excited to create a new home for Guinness in the heart of London. \u2018Guinness at Old Brewer\u2019s Yard\u2019 will strengthen London\u2019s hospitality community and be a must-visit destination for thousands of visitors to enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rob Abernethy, chief executive of the Mercers\u2019 Company, which owns Old Brewer\u2019s Yard, added: \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Guinness to our Covent Garden estate. We have worked closely with Diageo to develop proposals which will restore Old Brewer\u2019s Yard\u2019s historic origins in a contemporary context.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe significant level of investment is a major boost to London\u2019s recovering economy and will provide a one-of-a-kind immersive experience, shining the spotlight on Covent Garden as a global visitor destination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, ticketing technology provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2021\/12\/10\/secutix-links-up-with-the-guinness-storehouse-as-part-of-diageo-partnership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SecuTix partnered with<\/a> Dublin\u2019s Guinness Storehouse to become its official ticketing technology provider.<\/p>\n<p>The company implemented its S-360 ticketing engagement solution and was also used across Diageo\u2019s other Irish brands, including Roe and Co distillery in Dublin and Smithwick\u2019s Experience in Kilkenny.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, the Guinness Storehouse celebrated its 20 millionth visitor and regularly tops the list of Ireland\u2019s most visited paid attractions.
