{"id":729,"date":"2022-02-09T08:25:27","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T16:25:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/09\/wimbledon-hikes-womens-final-ticket-prices-to-match-mens\/"},"modified":"2022-02-09T08:25:27","modified_gmt":"2022-02-09T16:25:27","slug":"wimbledon-hikes-womens-final-ticket-prices-to-match-mens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/09\/wimbledon-hikes-womens-final-ticket-prices-to-match-mens\/","title":{"rendered":"Wimbledon hikes women\u2019s final ticket prices to match men\u2019s\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Wimbledon fans will have to pay the same amount of money to watch the men\u2019s and women\u2019s singles finals for the first time in 31 years.<\/p>\n<p>A report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/wimbledon-hike-price-of-womens-final-tickets-to-match-men-for-first-time-b02pc5h77\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Times<\/a> outlines that in 2021, fans watching Australian Ash Barty\u2019s win over Czech Karolina Pliskova had to pay \u00a3200 (\u20ac236\/$271), while those watching the men\u2019s final between Serbian Novak Djokovic and Italian Matteo Berrettini had to stump up \u00a3240.<\/p>\n<p>It will now cost spectators \u00a3240 for both the men\u2019s and women\u2019s singles finals.<\/p>\n<p>Organisers, The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), have also decided the price hike will be replicated for the semi-finals of the Wimbledon Championships, with women\u2019s singles matches costing \u00a3210 to match the men\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s tournament is set to take place from June 27 to July 10. This year will also be the first time spectators in the lower sections will have to pay \u00a310 more than fans sat higher up.<\/p>\n<p>The AELTC also decided this year that there would be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2021\/10\/20\/wimbledon-to-stick-with-more-normal-ticketing-arrangements-for-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no public ballot for tickets<\/a>, to allow those that were successful in the 2020 ballot to take up their ticket offer.
