{"id":749,"date":"2022-02-11T02:39:16","date_gmt":"2022-02-11T10:39:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/11\/wales-to-relax-remaining-restrictions-on-events-and-venues\/"},"modified":"2022-02-11T02:39:16","modified_gmt":"2022-02-11T10:39:16","slug":"wales-to-relax-remaining-restrictions-on-events-and-venues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.goticketly.com\/index.php\/2022\/02\/11\/wales-to-relax-remaining-restrictions-on-events-and-venues\/","title":{"rendered":"Wales to relax remaining restrictions on events and venues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Wales First Minister Mark Drakeford has announced that from February 18, the legal requirement to show a COVID Pass to enter certain venues and events will be removed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The COVID Pass was originally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theticketingbusiness.com\/2021\/09\/17\/wales-to-introduce-covid-19-pass-scheme-for-large-events\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brought in<\/a> to show proof of vaccination against coronavirus, or a negative test upon entry.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Drakeford said: \u201cWith increasing numbers of people vaccinated and boosted and thanks to the hard work and efforts of everyone across Wales, we are confident that coronavirus rates are falling and we can look forward to brighter times ahead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can start to gradually and carefully remove some of the remaining protections we have in place at alert level zero. But we are not removing all the measures at once because the pandemic is not over yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cFrom Friday February 18, the domestic COVID Pass will no longer be required for entry into indoor or outdoor events and venues, including nightclubs, cinemas, theatres and concert halls.
