The O2 has suffered extensive damage as a result of Storm Eunice, which tore through parts of the UK today (Friday).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Panels on top of the famous dome venue in East London have been ripped off, leaving a substantial hole in its roof.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A spokesperson for the O2 said in a statement<\/a>: \u201cDue to today\u2019s adverse weather conditions, we can confirm that there has been some damage caused to the tent fabric in our roof at The O2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe affected areas have been cleared and The O2 will remain closed for the rest of the day. The safety of our visitors remains of paramount importance, and we will continue to assess the ongoing situation and act accordingly.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tonight\u2019s Fugees concert at The O2 has been cancelled.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 20,000-capacity stadium was due to welcome Simply Red this weekend, but that show had already been cancelled due to COVID-19.
