Consultancy TRG Arts has announced the launch of Talent Lab, which will aid emerging arts administrators in their professional development.<\/p>\n
Talent Lab will offer an affordable way for arts organisations to invest in young professionals, to help develop and retain high-quality employees.<\/p>\n
TRG Arts\u2019 new venture will be led by chief talent officer, Keri Mesropov.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m beyond thrilled to lead this talent initiative that ends the status quo for what used to pass for professional development of arts and culture employees,\u201d said Mesropov.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we together are to ensure the sustainability of this sector, we all must evolve as professionals and challenge the mindset of constant scarcity of both money and time. It is just as valuable to spend resources training arts administrators as it is to train dancers, musicians, or actors.\u201d<\/p>\n
Talent Lab will run a series of workshops and will focus on topics such as emotional intelligence, effective feedback, learning agility and strengths-based leadership. The workshops will also look at more technical frameworks like budgeting revenue targets with precision.<\/p>\n
The workshops have been designed with mid-level managers and their teams in mind, to help them learn professional skills and industry-best practices.<\/p>\n
