Tickets for the Carabao Cup will remain at £5 (€6/$6.70) and £10 for concessions, and £10 and £20 for adults.

Arsenal also said that the club will continue to subsidise away Premier League tickets for fans to £26.

A new 25% discount is being introduced for general admission season-ticket holders and match-by-match ticket buyers aged 19-21. Cannon members aged 17 and 18 already benefit from a 57% discount in the Family Enclosure, and will now be able to use this discount anywhere in general admission at Arsenal’s home ground, Emirates Stadium.

The club also said it will improve access for Junior Gunners aged 16 and under, with the 66% discount with Red members in the Family Enclosure remaining in place.

Arsenal’s statement said: “We recognise that no one welcomes price increases, and this decision has not been taken lightly. Ultimately in the face of continued rising costs, we need to continue to drive growth in all our revenue streams – including matchday – as part of our aim to return our finances to a break-even position in the medium term.”

The news of the increase follows the release of Arsenal’s financial results, which show a loss of £107.3m for the year ending May 31, 2021. Like many football clubs, Arsenal was impacted by the loss of matchday and ticketing revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Arsenal’s statement added: “The additional cost for fans will depend on what competitions we are in next season and where seats are located.”

If Arsenal qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season, the average general admission season ticket price would increase from £1,219 to £1,268, a hike of £49. If the club fails to qualify for Europe, average general admission season tickets will go from £1,010 this season to £1,050 in 2022/23.

However, fans will also benefit from a ‘cup credit’ as the club did not play any FA Cup games at home this season, which will help with some of the rising costs.

Club Level season ticket renewals begin March 16 and general admission season ticket renewals will start at the end of the current season.

Image: Nelson Ndongala on Unsplash

[ad_2]

Source link

[ad_1] English Premier League club Arsenal has raised its season and match day ticket prices for the first time in seven years.
