Live Nation has announced a new 1,800-capacity live music venue in Adelaide, which will also include a separate nightclub and restaurant.<\/p>\n
The live entertainment company has worked alongside promoter Secret Sounds, promoter Five Four Entertainment and the team behind Brisbane\u2019s Fortitude Music Hall and The Triffid venues to launch Hindley Street Music Hall.<\/p>\n
Adelaide\u2019s new Hindley Street location is set to open in August this year, with the venue offering standing, seated and cabaret arrangements so that capacities can alter from 800 up to 1,800.<\/p>\n
The project, which is a large-scale redevelopment of a previous nightclub, will host comedy acts, theatre and live music events, and is predicted to cost A$6m (\u00a33.33m\/$4.35m\/\u20ac3.96m).<\/p>\n
Paul Piticco, co-founder and co-chief executive of Secret Sounds, said: \u201cSouth Australia is the state of art and I have long-admired the value that SA puts on culture and social infrastructure. Our plan is to build one of the best music halls right here on Hindley Street, and to also do our bit by filling it with the great local and international talent.\u201d<\/p>\n
John Collins, venue director and co-founder of the Hindley Street Music Hall, added: \u201cI\u2019m stoked to be bringing my experience and passion to a city I\u2019ve always truly loved. We\u2019ve spent a lot of time on the design of the venue ensuring the relationship between the performer and the audience is the best it can be, and to create an incredibly intimate space where fans feel super close and connected to the artists.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want the Hindley Street Music Hall to really contribute to Adelaide\u2019s music culture and become an artist and fan-favourite for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n
Acts have already been announced for the venue, including UK pop duo Honne and Brisbane locals Pub Choir. A line up for the official launch party will be announced in due course.<\/p>\n
