Autograph partners with AEG Presents

AEG Presents, a division of sports and live entertainment giant AEG, has partnered with Web3 brand, Autograph, in a multi-year collaboration.

Autograph was co-founded by NFL icon Tom Brady, who will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season after reversing his decision to retire. Web3 is linked to blockchain, NFTs, cryptocurrency and the metaverse.

The project will kick off on March 25 at BUKU Music + Art Project in New Orleans, a music festival that is set to feature artists such as Tame Impala, Tyler the Creator and Glass Animals.

The Autograph live experience will include a graffiti artist auction with eight artists’ works as  NFTs. It will also offer attendees the chance to mint their own NFT festival posters on-site, which will be linked through to the 2023 festival.

Following the conclusion of BUKU, Autograph will work alongside other AEG Presents events such as Electric Forest, Hangout Music Festival and Firefly.

Dillon Rosenblatt, chief executive of Autograph, told Variety: “Festival culture creates an opportunity to build and curate communities at scale using Web3. Our goal is to create an experience that lives digitally and physically to enhance the festival attendees’ overall experience.

“We are thrilled to kick off our partnership with AEG Presents through an interactive experience at BUKU defined by celebrating the connection between art and technology.”

Andrew Klein, managing director of AEG Global Partnerships, a division of AEG, added: “This partnership offers our festival-goers a new, innovative format to commemorate their experiences and create custom NFT collections.

“There is such excitement about BUKU’s return. Autograph will help amplify that special feeling of the festival to a broader community and drive deeper engagement with the audience.”
