Ticket distribution platform Coras has partnered with ticketing agency SISTIC to sell tickets for music, theatre and sporting events across Singapore.
Coras chief executive Mark McLaughlin said that the Asia region is fast “becoming the next big growth market for live music”.
Dublin-based Coras enables brands to have access to music, theatre, sport and attraction tickets by combining ticketing software platforms like SISTIC, which offers over 1,300 tickets for various shows and experiences, into a single application programming interface (API) connection.
Ticketing search engine TIX will be the first distribution partner to sell SISTIC’s tickets. Further partners in Asia will be announced in due course.
While Singapore has extended some of its COVID-19 restrictions until November 21 due to a surge in coronavirus cases, the partnership will allow people to look forward to the return of live events.
CEO of Coras, McLaughlin, said: “As fans start to get back to attending the best music, sport and theatre events around the world, we’re excited to work with SISTIC, who are our first supplier partner in Asia, a region which is becoming the next big growth market for live music.”
Joe Ow, CEO of SISTIC, added: “As SISTIC continues to expand on our ecosystem of partners globally, we’re delighted to partner with Coras and bring our portfolio of lifestyle, attraction and MICE products to Coras’ growing network of global distribution partners.
“We look forward to offering greater value to inbound travellers to Singapore.”
