Event management specialist Stadium has announced a new managing director in Carl Taylor (pictured left), to accelerate the firm’s expansion across the UK.

The company operates globally and is headquartered in Coventry in the UK, and provides traffic management, event services and training, the hiring of stewards and Security Industry Authority (SIA) security staff for events. Stadium has worked with events ranging from the Olympic Games to Premier League football matches and concerts.

Taylor has more than 18 years of experience in the events industry and has joined Stadium from OCS Group. Prior to his role with OCS, he was head of events at Carlisle Support Services, where he worked alongside organisations such as All England Lawn Tennis Club, Lord’s Cricket and Cheltenham Racecourse.

Taylor said: “I’m delighted to be joining Stadium and working alongside such a respected team, which has developed an excellent reputation within the events industry. It is also a company which has seen a tremendous amount of growth in recent years, and I feel that ambition – and the core values of honesty and integrity – align perfectly with me.

“I’m looking forward to getting out there, meeting our clients, and getting on the ground with all of our teams.”

Stadium founder and executive chairman David McAtamney (pictured right) added: “t’s great to have someone of Carl’s experience on board. I have no doubt his industry knowledge and contacts will be a great asset for us and our clients, during what is already shaping up to be a busy year.”

Live entertainment company All Things Live, which represents artists and promotes events across the Nordics and Belgium, has appointed Gry Mølleskog as group chief executive.

Mølleskog will start her new role on August 1, and will also become the country CEO for All Things Live companies in Norway.

She is currently in the role of Lord Chamberlain (CEO) of the Royal Court of Norway, where she has also worked in chief of staff positions over the last seven years.

Mølleskog has held positions including senior client partner with recruiter Korn/Ferry International as well as numerous roles at SAS, including senior vice-president. She was also part of the executive management team for five years between 1998 and 2003.

“All Things Live is one of the most exciting companies in live entertainment in Europe,” said Mølleskog. “The Group is well-positioned for further growth, and I look forward to building on this strong foundation together with the ambitious owners.”

Toby Gwazdacz has become the commercial director at UK festival Boomtown Fair and its new immersive ‘Amazement Park’ project Wake The Tiger.

Gwazdacz has joined Boomtown from entertainment company Vision Nine, where he was the former head of rights and partnership. He spent almost six year with Vision Nine, where he worked on 10 UK music festivals and live events, including Boardmasters festival in Cornwall.

Nick Kelly has stepped down from his role as chief executive of Tepper Sports and Entertainment, which is the parent company of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Major League Soccer’s Charlotte FC.

Kelly spent just three months in the role and previously served as team president of Charlotte FC and joined Pepper Sports and Entertainment from Anheuser-Busch InBev.

There has been no reason given for his departure.
