Tickets for Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) 2022’s virtual performances are now available to purchase.
The festival is being held as a hybrid event, with the physical concert taking place at Sarawak Cultural Village in Pantai Damai, Malaysia. International music fans will be able to watch performances from the festival via a livestream.
This year’s RWMF is the 25th edition of the festival, with online viewers able to enjoy two hours of showtime, alongside “curated video content” according to Sarawak Tourism Board.
“RWMF will feature a host of international performers from Canada, India, USA, Finland, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan, Australia, Madagascar, Ukraine, China, Bhutan and Seoul, among others,” said Sarawak Tourism Board in a statement.
The festival takes place from June 17-19, with a choice of acts to be streamed in two one-hour slots on each day. On the first day, between 7pm and 8pm, music fans will be able to choose between watching performances from artists such as Joey Ayala from the Philippines, ASZA from Canada and Trad Attack from Estonia.
From 8pm until 9pm on day one, audiences can watch Jurij Fedynskyj from the Ukraine and Blue Canyon Boys from the US among others.
On day two, fans can watch performances from the likes of Issui Minegishi from Japan, Shashank Subramanyam from India and Genggong Kutus from Indonesia.
Day three will welcome sets from Yayi Cai from China, Tarika from Madagascar and Rining Peter Paris from host state, Sarawak.
The tourism board’s Borneo Jazz Festival will also be held as a hybrid event from June 24-26.
